About The Curry Mob

The Curry Mob is a brother and sister country music duo made up of Mika (12) and Blue (10), whose love of music, storytelling, and performance began at home with their family. Raised in a household where music was always present, their journey started naturally when their father, Michael, taught one of the children to play guitar. Before long, the other wanted to learn as well — and it quickly became clear that music came easily to both of them.

Born in the Philippines, Mika and Blue were raised on music, mischief, and a deep love of storytelling. Their early years were filled with songs and family life, but their journey has not been without hardship. In December 2021, just nine days before Christmas, Typhoon Odette (Typhoon Rai) devastated their island home of Siargao, destroying their family home and turning life upside down. What followed were years of uncertainty, red tape, and heartbreak as the family worked toward rebuilding their future.

Eventually, the family made the move to their father’s home country, Australia, beginning a new chapter together. Today, Mika and Blue travel across Australia in a camper van with their parents, Mick and Joy, performing at festivals, concerts, and events and winning hearts wherever they go. Their music reflects both their resilience and their joy — honest, traditional country songs delivered with warmth, confidence, and a maturity well beyond their years.

In 2025, Mika and Blue graduated from the Junior Academy of Country Music and were named 2025 Junior “Maccas Golden Gig” Talent Quest winners, supported in the studio by Ben Corbett on guitars and piano. The album was produced by Roger Corbett at The Valley Studio in Lorn, NSW, with tracks “In The Melody” and “If It Ain’t Broke” recorded by Rob Breese.

Through every performance, Mika and Blue bring authenticity, family values, and a genuine love for country music. Their story is one of resilience, growth, and passion — and it is only just beginning.
